01 The challenge

A stake in the ground.

Evidence Action entered their AI journey with genuine enthusiasm — and scatteredmomentum. Teams were experimenting, but efforts were fragmented, with no shareddirection.

As a global organization with a diverse employee base, they needed to set a “stake inthe ground” on where AI fit — and get the leadership team aligned before asking thewider organization to move.

02 The solution

A phased approach to adoption

Clarinet built a structured path designed to align leadership first, then scale acrossthe organization — delivered through three connected programs.

  1. Advisory & Decision Support We helped the leadership team navigate the “AI spectrum” — defining directional guidance for internal AI use and balancing experimentation with security.
  2. AI Foundations for Leaders A cascade of training — from the 8-member Global Leadership Team to a 50-person peer group — creating a “floor and a ceiling” and a unified vocabulary for strategic decisions.
  3. Organizational Opportunity Spotting Moving from theory to practice by identifying high-leverage workflows — “starting where things are already breaking” rather than treating AI as a separate, additive initiative.
“I really appreciated the flexibility and responsiveness — the sense that Clarinet was a true thought partner, always willing to hop on a call to find ways to be supportive.” Anne Iden · Chief People Officer

03 The results

A catalyst for org-wide adoption.

Evidence Action moved from fragmented activity toward a deliberate adoptionapproach. They began embedding “technology and innovation usage” into theirglobal competency framework — making AI adoption part of how the work getsdone, not a side project.

They established AI Champions across the U.S., Africa, and India to lead regional office hours and reinforcement sessions — and set a company-wide stretch target of100% weekly active use among Claude license holders.

  • Leadership aligned on AI direction
  • AI embedded in competency framework
  • Regional AI Champions stood up
  • Shared vocabulary for decisions

We valued application-based training that resonated with our team. We needed something quick, nimble, and values-aligned.
